The TJI® joist was developed about 50 years ago and continues to be a great engineered wood product, providing strength and consistency for high performance floor and roof structures. Their dimensional stability helps resist the warping, twisting, and shrinking that can lead to squeaky floors. Because they are lightweight and come in long lengths, they're easier to install than traditional framing. TJI® joists come in different sizes for specific load/span needs.
